Private Client Solicitor - Contentious Probate
Job Description
- Advising clients on contentious probate matters, including disputes over will validity, inheritance claims, and estate administration issues.
- Managing a caseload of contentious probate cases from inception to resolution.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to assess the merits of clients’ claims and defenses.
- Drafting legal documents, including letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
- Representing clients in mediation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Handling court proceedings in the County Court or High Court, including preparing for hearings and trials.
- Providing strategic legal advice to clients to achieve favourable outcomes and protect their interests.
- Collaborating with other legal professionals, such as barristers and experts, to strengthen case strategies.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, beneficiaries, executors, and other parties involved in probate disputes.
- Keeping abreast of changes in probate law and court procedures to ensure the delivery of accurate and effective legal services.
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in private client law, with a focus on contentious probate.
- Strong knowledge of probate law, inheritance disputes, and relevant legislation.
- Proven track record of handling complex and high-value contentious probate cases.
- Excellent litigation and negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate persuasively on behalf of clients.
- Exceptional client management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional legal services and achieving successful outcomes for clients.
Salary:
